Until March 29th my originals will be decorating the walls of the Mt. Washington's Alpine Café. On Vancouver Island it only really snows once a year and it goes away just as quickly as it came. We are then left with slush and black ice. As the temperature rises it melts the snow, then dips back down to create an ice rink. But when it does snow for the first time in the year, and its fresh, what a treat for the eyes. I created this painting last year (2024), it took me almost 6 months to create, and not because of the detail involved, but because I was in a tremendous amount of pain. I would get up and do a little bit at a time throughout the days.
