This is a painting that reflects personal changes in me. I have recently been working on lowering my fears. In doing so, I see a more playful side of myself re-surfacing. Hidden fairies are playing in the woods and water, while also including the bear in the fun. The butterflies are dancing around the massive furry creature, making light of a powerful presence. The bear seems appropriate as many people fear the black bears in my area, but, in truth, most of the time, they are far more afraid of us.
