ARTISTS STATMENT
I enjoy letting my imagination take over and making something quick. Its a note marked down to inspire larger more complex paintings in the future. I started offering these small originals for sale because they provide a more affordable option to collect. But, they also deserve to be hung on a wall for others to be inspired for years to come. I work intuitively, letting my brain go into a mediative state to allow ideas to form. These sketches are usually driven by what is happening in my life, or what I'm inspired by in the moment. This process allows me to access creativity and exploration in a more instant way. I feel like sketches like these are similar to the poems of the written world of art.
