I'm excited to share my upcoming 2025 solo Exhibition named "Curiosity of Life" located inside the Sybil Andrews cottage in Campbell River BC. This cozy and historical space is a perfect location for me to host an art show for everyone close to home and so close to holidays. I like to try and have at least on show like this a year to catch up with everyone in person. I post a lot to social media and communicate that way, but, there is nothing like an in person gathering. I hope to meet many faces and see some familiar souls that continue to support my big dreams.
The name of this exhibition is named so for a variety of reasons. First being a personal one. The last couple years I have grown a lot as a human soul on this earth. I have experienced some real hard things that are not unique to me but is now a new awareness that I have come to see and understand about me and the humans around me. This in turn is slowly influencing my art like an new ingredient being added to a familiar soup enhancing and altering it flavours. Art is about exploration into ones self, its a self expression like music and writing and the only way to dive deep into a creative practice is by being curious about your existence on this planet and everything that you experience. My art has always been that way since before I can remember. What is beautiful is that we can share it with other like reminded souls who connect with it deeply. So that can be a couple other reasons for the name of this show. I had titled a recent painting this, and it felt fitting to use it this year.

The Sybil Andrews Cottage is a heritage home that belonged to artist Sybil Andrews and her husband Walter Morgan (a skilled artist himself with wood). This space is now run by the Campbell River Arts Counsel and is dedicated for art related events. If you would like to know more about this cottage, its history, and the arts counsel you can read more here.

The exhibition is a one day event on November 1st and will run from 1pm- 8pm. I will be providing sweets none- alcoholic drinks and a ton of art to see in person. There is wheel chair access and parking. Small none- archival prints, stickers, and greeting cards will be available for gifts and of course many, many originals small to large. This is a very casual event that I hope will be full of laughs, excitement and art conversations.
Hope to see your face, take care
